I love aliens from outer space coming to decimate the world type of movies. Two of my favs in that genre are Skyline and Battle: Los Angeles. For me to wholly endorse a movie, I need one of two things to happen. I either need to be hit broadside with a plot twist I never saw coming, or an ending that blows me away.
This movie did both for me.
If you watch the trailer, the editing department does a bang-up job hooking you. Yes, this is an alien invasion movie. Except it's not. And I won't go any further because I always promise no spoilers.

In short (to quote the blurb from IMDB), A father has a recurring dream of losing his family. His nightmare turns into reality when the planet is invaded by a force bent on destruction. Fighting for their lives, he comes to realize an unknown strength to keep them safe from harm.
