Evilstick
Most parents didn't think much of the bargain-priced Evilstick selling
at dollar stores in 2014. It looked like a regular toy wand, and many
children and parents alike thought that's all it was. That is, until Ohio
resident Nicole Allen's son peeled back a foil section on his sister's
wand and discovered a terrifying image - a demonic girl with red
eyes, holding a large knife over her wrist and smiling menacingly. Some people
claimed the wand also emitted a terrifying laugh.
Some purchasers were lucky enough to
avoid this fright, but others found different but similarly disturbing
images on their wands. No explanation has ever surfaced for why these
images were on a child's toy.

The Old Croghan Man
Photograph of the well-preserved torso
of the "Old Croghan Man," an Iron Age bog body discovered in Ireland,
that dates back over 2,000 years, with an estimated death between 362 BC and
175 BC. The body, found decapitated and cut in half, was naked except for a
plaited leather band around his left arm. This likely indicated high status.
A 2014 documentary suggested that he
was a king or prince who was sacrificed by druids due to poor weather or
harvests.
The Old Croghan Man is displayed in
the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin.
